Located within the Los Roques archipelago off the Venezuelan coast, Cayo Pirata is a small fishing settlement.
I was immediately drawn to the architectural naïveté of these fishermen's shacks. There is beauty in the way they are built from whatever materials could be found or repurposed. Constantly exposed to the sun, salt, wind, and sea, they exist in a continuous state of adaptation, revealing a resilience inseparable from the landscape itself.
