RECINTE DE SANT PAU

Designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the defining works of Catalan Modernisme.

At first glance, the pavilions appear almost symmetrical. The longer I looked, the more the details began to reveal themselves. What first felt unified became a collection of distinct buildings, each quietly distinguishing itself from the next.
